This unposted card has a serial number that dates it to 1896. Taken from the roof of the county hall, it shows a view towards the Abbey Gateway. The church clock looks like it reads as 10:25. The now demolished "Butcher's Row" that enclosed the guildhall courtyard is visible, as is the very edge of the building on Stert Street that was home to Warland Andrew's photo studio.
