I'm not really sure what occasion this postcard might have been taken for. The view of the Nag's Head is consistent with other Edwardian postcards and the half-penny postage rate certainly dates the card to pre-1918. Eight men have gathered for the photo. One man is dresssed like like a ticket inspector of some kind, and two men at the back look like they may be chefs or kitchen staff. Two working-class men are on the far left and right, and two of the men appear to be reading a newspaper.
