I suspect this collotype card is much older than it's 1944 postmark. For a start it shows the old lock keeper's cottage that was replaced in 1928, and the serial number is aligned with other cards published by A.O.S. aroudn 1907-1910. Perhaps the wartime economy demanded that older cards were used and that new ones were in short supply?
