Florence Lilly Hawkes (b. 1886) is listed at this address in the 1901 census. This might be from her older brother William George Hawkes (b. 1881). This photograph is the clearest of the lock keeper's cottage that I've collected. Some of the posters on the board can even be read including a notice for the sale of Shiplake Mills by Simmons and Son. Simmons and Son are still in business and operating from Henley.
