| Message | Abingdon. Tuesday 27th August. 11.45. 'Hans von Buren' is at last not a myth any longer. The telegram was sent off at 920 so I imagine he was born today. A new birthday in the family, the 27th Aug. I have written since to Ernest [...] please give Donald 1/. to celebrate the day. I will get a card for mother like the enclosed one in your letter which came by the second post. I am glad you made out the zoo after all but it ought to be an expedition for the day really. As you say there is much too much for 1/2 a day really. The weather is terribly relaxing and [...] headachy now but as it is [...] the same with you I suppose it is the summer and not this place. We are off in an hour and now going to lay the table for an early luncheon. Lots of love, H. |

Sent by Cecil Chandos Pole Willis Fleming (1866-1946), presumably to his wife Hanna. The postcard mentions their Son Donald (1891-1974). The Willis Fleming family ran estates in Stoneham and Bletchley. The also postcard mentions the birth of a child, and an Ernest but I'm not sure who they are.
