MessageAbingdon. Tuesday 27th August. 11.45. 'Hans von Buren' is at last not a myth any longer. The telegram was sent off at 920 so I imagine he was born today. A new birthday in the family, the 27th Aug. I have written since to Ernest [...] please give Donald 1/. to celebrate the day. I will get a card for mother like the enclosed one in your letter which came by the second post. I am glad you made out the zoo after all but it ought to be an expedition for the day really. As you say there is much too much for 1/2 a day really. The weather is terribly relaxing and [...] headachy now but as it is [...] the same with you I suppose it is the summer and not this place. We are off in an hour and now going to lay the table for an early luncheon. Lots of love, H.

Sent by Cecil Chandos Pole Willis Fleming (1866-1946), presumably to his wife Hanna. The postcard mentions their Son Donald (1891-1974). The Willis Fleming family ran estates in Stoneham and Bletchley. The also postcard mentions the birth of a child, and an Ernest but I'm not sure who they are.
