Please excuse me not writing to you before. Many thanks for your pretty postcard also for Miss Hayes. She sends her love. It's rather wet here today. My friend came over from Buply Sunday. This nicely coloured card has been overprinted with a quote from the bible. It was sold by the Christian Colportage Association, 37 Farringdon Street, London. A colporteur carried a bag from which they sold Bibles and Christian literature door to door. The Association is still in existance, but is now called Outreach UK. I'm not sure of the sender, but the receipient is likely to be Florence Tidmas (born 1884), listed on the 1901 and 1911 census as living in Leamington Spa. It's possible she was boarding with the Brown family at the address on the card.
