Apart from the postmark and gas-lamps there's very little to date this postcard with. The corner of 'butcher's row' is visible before it's later demolition. I suspect the premises just visible to the left of the county hall is 3 Market Place (since rebuilt). Kelly's directory of 1905 has this as 'Paxman, Son and Co, Grocers'
