This is a view of Caldecott Road, looking East towards the town centre. Caldecott House can be seen through the trees. The Wilts and Berks Canal runs on the right hand side of the image (possibly out of view, possibly obscured by the tinting) and the canal basin can be seen in the far distance. At this stage the canal was in steep decline and heading towards closure. I'm unable to identify the recipient or sender.
